Emily (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist who has developed a figurative practice in painting, drawing, installation sculpture and relational projects. She was raised and currently resides on Treaty 6 Territory, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, having Ukrainian and Croatian ancestry. Her focus is on the human condition and exploring inter-connection between the physical and the emotional body in relationship. The layered technique in her paintings speak not only to the process of her work stylistically, but also a deeper psychological and physiological analysis of the complexities of self. Her interests in relationship’s of both human and natural processes’ drive her research.

Emily is a recent graduate of the University of Saskatchewan completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours in 2017, and a Bachelor of Art History degree in 2018. She is currently working on completing her Bachelor of Social Work degree through the University of Regina to be completed in 2023.

Emily works collaboratively with artists, Lauren Warrington and Kelsey Ford within the Biofeedback Artist Collective, to support emerging and underrepresented artists through relational and feedback based programming. What unites them as a collective is an overarching interest in conceptual and responsive approaches to art making. Together, they explore how they relate to one another, their bodies, the places in which they inhabit, and how their own unique histories and ancestries come together. They are currently working on The Community Project in collaboration with The Gallery/ Art Placement inc. Funded by SK Arts.
